Nisha Jhalani, MD is a Clinical Assistant Attending Cardiologist at New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Jhalani received her M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now known as Rutgers Medical College in Newark, NJ. She then went on to complete her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell Medical Center.
In 2015, Dr. Jhalani joined the faculty at New York Presbyterian – Columbia University Irving Medical Center as an Attending Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine, and served as the Director of Inpatient Clinical Services for the Columbia Interventional Cardiovascular Care program.
Dr. Jhalani specializes in women’s heart health, preventative cardiology, and personalized risk reduction. She is currently the Director of the Women’s Heart Health Initiative at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation.
Her clinical and research interests include management of hyperlipidemia, weight loss, and cardiovascular risk reduction in patients with diabetes mellitus.
